Peony Root- Paeonia lactiflora goes by the common name of Peony Root and is a perennial herbaceous flowering shrub. The flowers are highly ornamental, and come in single and double varieties, in pinks, reds, coral, white and yellow shades that make for beautiful cut flowers. In Eastern traditional medicine Peony root has been commonly used to stop pain and fever, as well as to ward off infection and stop bleeding. It may also help with easing cramps in all sorts of muscles. Antispasmodic that relaxes smooth muscle and is said to be effective in helping cramps of all kinds.
